Meet Mrs. Busler
Born in Pittsburgh, Melissa Busler is a resident of Butler and a 1999 graduate of Grove City College. She has spent the past 20+ years devoted to helping students achieve success in learning math and science, whether when working in the classroom as a middle school and high school teacher, or privately tutoring dozens of students in the region. Mrs. Busler obtained her B.S. in Biology and General Secondary Science Education certification, grades 7 to 12, at Grove City College. Classroom experience includes teaching the following courses: Basic Grade 6 Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, Biology, and Physical Science, in addition to teaching elementary science labs. Mrs. Busler writes the monthly newsletter of the Slippery Rock Watershed Coalition, The Catalyst, and has helped with their education-outreach endeavors. In her free time she enjoys cheering on the Pittsburgh sports teams, arts & crafts, playing tennis, hiking, biking, kayaking, and has authored two fiction books for kids and young adults.
